Ecosystem
OrchidDB connects graph query languages to the Rust data ecosystem.
Built with
- Rust: the implementation language and library interface.
- DuckDB: bundled by the CLI; application-owned in language clients.
- Apache DataFusion: relational planning, plus execution stages in the optional managed runtime.
- Apache Arrow: columnar result batches passed between stages and returned to callers.
Language clients
Compile graph queries and consume Arrow from a caller-owned engine. Each client includes examples and release packaging.
See client setup and ownership rules. Source builds are available; registry and binary releases are not published yet.
Query languages
- Cypher: describe patterns of nodes and relationships.
- Gremlin: describe traversals through a graph.
- SPARQL: query through an ontology mapping, or use the separate mapped RDF dataset interface.
Your data
Use managed graphs for graph persistence or mapped graphs for existing tables. The SQL sources guide covers views and external data exposed through DuckDB.
These are the project's underlying technologies and documented interfaces, not a list of sponsors or endorsements.
